Forestry and Planning

We operate according to sustainable forest management principles, preserving the viability of our resources today and for the future. As part of our sustainable forest program WFP's seed orchard and seedling nursery support the planting of more than seven million improved tree seedlings each year. Through an extensive consultative process, we work with First Nations, local communities and other stakeholders to ensure our management practices are ecologically sensitive, and incorporate community values.

In this stream you will have the opportunity to learn about state of the art planning using the latest technology (LIDAR) and you will have opportunities to explore and develop skills in the areas of leadership, sustainability and silviculture.
